The Somali Child Rights Coalition (SCRC) has successfully concluded Day One of the two-day workshop on “Strengthening Advocacy Capacity of Civil Society Organizations, Line Ministries and Key Stakeholders on Child Rights and Protection in Somalia,” held at Hayat Hotel in Mogadishu, with the support of SOS Children’s Villages Somalia.

The workshop brought together representatives from civil society organizations, government line ministries and other key stakeholders to strengthen their knowledge and capacity for coordinated advocacy on child rights and protection. Participants engaged in constructive discussions on key challenges affecting children in Somalia, existing policy and legislative gaps, and opportunities for stronger collaboration and advocacy.

As we conclude the first day, participants remain committed to advancing practical and coordinated advocacy actions that promote the rights, protection and well-being of every child in Somalia. We look forward to Day Two and continued discussions toward stronger child rights systems and accountability.
